Blogmas Day 16 – Christmas Pudding Chocolate Truffles.

We have 9 days guys, 9 days until Christmas day! Are you excited yet? Well if you are not but you are hungry then this recipe I have for you today is just for you. Here is my recipe for these very yummy, Christmas Pudding Chocolate Truffles.

For the truffles:

  • 150 grams milk chocolate chips
  • 150 grams dark chocolate chips
  • 300ml double cream
  • 50 grams butter

For coating/decorating:

  • 250 grams chocolate
  • Icing sugar (make a stiff water icing with this) or you can use ready-to-use icing
  • Christmas sprinkles (I got mine from poundland)

Step One: Heat your double cream in a pan just when it starts to boil and then turn the heat off. Then mix in the 300 grams of chocolate chips and butter in until it is all melted and fully combined.

Step Two: Pour the mixture into a container and pop it in your fridge for at least 4 hours. I left mine in over night.

Step Three: Using a cup of hot water, shape your truffles using a couple of spoons or a melon-baller which is what I used.

Step Four: Place truffles back into the fridge for a few more hours so they are very cold, so that when it comes to decorating they don’t melt instantly when dipped into the melted chocolate.

Step Five: Melt your 250 grams of chocolate and dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, once each has been covered place them on grease proof paper. Leave in your fridge until chocolate has set.

Step Six: Once set make a very stiff water icing with your icing sugar and with a small amount place on top of each truffle and leave for a few minutes, your decorations may fall off if it’s still warm. Let them cool and enjoy!

These were amazing! They are great for group gathering as one maybe two is enough to really eat as they are very sweet. I had so much fun making these that next Christmas I definitely will be making them again.

See you all tomorrow

Peace & Love
