The thought of not being able to attend my own sisters wedding was one that terrified me and one that hurt as not going was nearly a possibility.
When our invite came in September we didn’t know if we’d get there and it wasn’t until the 21st of December 2017, when we found out that we could go, and after pranking my mum saying ‘we couldn’t go’ went horribly wrong I was too excited to tell Kelly finally that we’ll be there.
I’ve known Terry for about 14/15 years, I’ve known Kelly longer haha. Once upon time not so many years ago Kelly and I used to share a bedroom and with a 4 1/2 year age gap we didn’t always see eye to eye, she didn’t want me on her side of the room, I wanted to go on her side of the room. I think you can see where the problems came from. We butted heads growing up and she was always being told, ‘be nice to her, she’s your sister’ and ‘you have to look after her she’s your sister,’ funnily enough they all came from Terry. Haha!
Their day was perfect, it was just beautiful from start to finish. Kelly walked down the aisle to Christina Perri’s – A Thousand Years playing (a song I get emotional to when I’m listening to it alone) so you can imagine I was a bit of a blubbering mess as we all watched my mum walk her first born down the aisle to marry Terry, the only man I can think of worthy of Kelly. (I can imagine Christiano Ronaldo would have been prefered but you know he’d just had the twins)
Being able to have celebrated this magical day with Kelly, Terry and their little ones my nieces and nephews was something I’ll always remember as an amazing day.
Everyone who came looked fantastic and were lovely to meet. Mia and Robyn had an amazing time, I was being approached my guests telling me that Mia had been talking to them & she unwrapped the presents from underneath the rooms Christmas tree. Haha sorry!
Peace & Love
