An A-Z of Me!

Hey guys, I was browsing through Twitter the other day and I kept seeing this type of post and if you know me, you’ll know I love a list so for me not to take advantage of this type of list would be un-natural. Note: I thought this would be easy. Nope.

20180401_124500

A – Artist. This one is a little obvious but I have been drawing since I was a little girl. I used to say drawing was all I knew how to do. I don’t remember what I did with my life before I discovered I could. Most likely still wearing a nappy and unable to hold a pencil.

B Baking. I love to bake so much, I find it very therapeutic, it’s something I would do with my mum as a child and now I have children of my own, the fact that they now get to share this love of baking with me makes me very happy.

C – Cornwall. This one is another obvious one, I love the place I get to call home. I fell in love with Cornwall when I was 14 and knew then that this place would be where I’d spend the rest of my life, fast forward 7 years and I made the move to live here.

D – Dream Catchers. Yep I love these, I love their history, their significance and what they represent and they are beautiful as well. I have a small collection of them that I am growing.

E – Essex. My home before Cornwall, I hated Essex but I have to give it credit to the person I grew in to. Where in Essex I lived wasn’t pleasant, the people were mostly good but what went down wasn’t (we woke one morning to find police tape around one home with blood on the front door) It made me tougher by living in Essex, which I am thankful for now.

F – Family. Oh my family who I love so so much. I would walk the length of this planet for them if I had to. They support me and encourage me when I’ve not wanted to do the ordinary.

G – Greeks. I love the Greeks, their history, the Greek mythology and myths. I remember in Primary School we had a Greek day and everyone wore toga’s and eat Greek food. It was awesome, I would definitely go to a fancy dress party dressed as a Greek.

H – Haunted. By haunted I mean everything Ghost related, movies, actual footage of ghosts on camera I’m there, I’m watching it.

I – Ice Cream. More precise Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. If I’m going to have ice cream I’m going to do it right.

J – Joanne. My mumma, I credit this woman for practically everything in my life. Without her I would have no life, she is the reason I love books, she always had them in the house and I was always reading hers. She has supported and encouraged me in everything I have chosen to do, never once judging me.

K – Kindness. There’s so much negativity in this world that we forget to see the kindness that is everywhere. I see kindness everyday I look for it and contribute to it because if I can make one person/one stranger smile then I feel good that I’ve added to the kindness in this world.

L – Life. I love life, everything about it. Without it I would be nothing, we would be nothing without life. I love who I meet, what I’m able to do and accomplish do to life, and I think it gets underutilised more than it should, life it meant to enjoyed, lived and explored in our own ways. That’s one of the reasons I love Bloggers, it gets me seeing the world and the life on it.

M – Mia. My first born who will be 4 years old in September. I never thought a little person would teach me so much on how to be more patient. My heart is filled with so much love for her.

N – Nick. My man, I couldn’t write this list and leave him out of it. This man is incredible, he is understanding, encouraging, supportive and just so loving. Sure for most of the time he’s a royal pain in my arse but I wouldn’t have him any other way.

O – Ocean. I love our waters. Another obvious one really, I live by the sea because I love it, I have a view of the North Atlantic ocean from my bedroom window, being by the ocean just makes me happy.

P – Perfectionist. Now this is something I have been for as long as I can remember and it at times can be damaging to my self-esteem and mental health especially when something doesn’t go as perfect as I wanted it to, I am coming to terms that sometimes somethings are going to fail, I just have to move on and carry on.

Q – Quite Time. You’re most probably thinking when do I get quiet time well I make good of nap times and early nights and by them I mean my childrens nap time and my children early nights, whether I have a kitchen full of plates that need to washed or I have a living room floor that’s covered in toys, I can tidy that when they’re awake but while they’re asleep I use that time for myself. There’s always going to be stuff to wash and tidy up, me ignoring it for an hour isn’t doing no harm.

R – Robyn. My second born and the clingy one. She is my little ray of sunshine, so is Mia but Robyn is crazy. She is hilariously crazy and I can’t wait to see the person she’ll grow into.

S – Sunsets. Anyone who knows me could have guessed this would have been my S on this list. I can’t describe how much I love sunsets, my Instagram Spring and Summer is pretty much filled with sunset photos and what I love most is that no two are ever the same.

T – Titanic. And not just the film but if the films is on my phone is on silent and if anyone interrupts me I am pissed. The history of the Titanic, the actually event fascinates me, I’ve read the book watched the documentaries. I just love it.

U – Unicorns. These things are everywhere in my home. My two daughters are obsessed with them, the glitter that comes from them is getting too much.

V – Vatican City. I am beyond fascinated with this place, I have never been but it is somewhere I’m definitely going to visit in my life. The architecture, the history and culture just draws me in.

W – Writing. Another obvious one I suppose, I wrote my first two page story in 2002 and it was horrendous but I still have it and I am thankful that that dream 10 year Zoe had held and now it’s what I do and what I want to create a future from.

X – X-Rays. I really couldn’t come up with anything for this but this fact, I’ve had more x-rays than I’ve had surgeries.

Y – Yoda. I am a big Star Wars freak. I love love love the entire franchise, the first six more so than the new ones but I’m not here to talk about those. ahaha. Yoda is my favourite Star Wars character.

Z – Zoo. I want a Zoo for sick or hurt animals to rehabilitate them so they can re-enter the wild, and have you ever seen We Bought A Zoo? I love that film.

So there you go guys, that is my A-Z of me I hope you enjoyed this and I really encourage you have a go yourself. Do we have anything in common? Have you done an A-Z of yourself? Let me know in the comments.

Peace & Love

Zoe x

  2. I’m sure this post was very tricky to write, well done you on doing such a good job with even the hardest letters! I am a huge fan of dream catchers as well, I always used to try and make my own by bending sticks and using string when I was a child, usually with disastrous results haha! I especially love what you’ve written about kindness, that really put a smile on my face – kindness definitely is out there if you seek it! I’d love to go to the Vatican City as well, what an amazing place it must be to visit!

  6. Loved this! I might try and do it on my blog too at some point, though I imagine it’s difficult to think of something for every letter! I used to always have dream catchers up in my room, I see them sometimes and always think that I should pick one up! Brilliant post xx
